Shepparton TEC
The Shepparton TEC is a result of a review of secondary provision in the Shepparton and surrounding districts (Nathalia, Numurkah and Cobram) by the Hume Region of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
GOTAFE has established a Shepparton TEC at the William Orr Campus in Wanganui Road in 2008 to run intermediate and senior industry VCAL programs for Year 11 and 12 students to improve and expand the range of vocational education and training opportunities for young people.
GOTAFE offers the following industry focussed programs to Year 11 and Year 12 students. The William Orr Campus will provide access to industry standard and state-of-the-art equipment and resources.

All programs lead into career outcomes:
- Agriculture -provides skills and knowledge into an agriculture traineeship
- Animal Studies - leading to a traineeship in animal studies or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
- Automotive - up to 12 months reduction in apprenticeship (light and heavy)
- Building & Construction - up to 6 months reduction in a building and construction apprenticeship
- CISCO CCNA - pathway into Certificate IV in Information Technology (Networking)
- Cookery - provides 406 of the 916 training hours for the Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
- Electrical - gain training credits towards an electrical apprenticeship
- Engineering - up to 9 months reduction in engineering apprenticeship (mechanical, fabrication, electrical)
- Equine - provides skills and knowledge into the Diploma of Equine Stud Management
- Furnishing - 6 months reduction in furnishing apprenticeship (furniture making, cabinet making, wood machining)
- Hairdressing - 6 months reduction in a hairdressing apprenticeship
- Horticulture - provides skills and knowledge into Certificate III in Horticulture traineeship
- Plumbing - gain training credits towards a plumbing apprenticeship
- Retail Cosmetics - pathway to the Certificate III, IV or Diploma of Beauty
- Surveying - credit towards Certificate IV and Diploma of Civil Engineering
These industry focussed VCAL programs aim to provide vocational education and training pathways for young people making them "work ready" for immediate employment in regional industries and businesses.
